07/22/2022 (Renton, WA) - After weeks of stress, trying to peddle online college and work, damaging my first vehicle, and many realizations that this is life now, I decided to quit today. I sat on top of the truck in peace knowing life was about to change, watching the parking lot as it turns from busy shoppers to people hanging out, a guy across the street dirty, sprawled out on the ground, yet still looking as if he was savoring the moment and the sunset, hearing the distant sound of car engines, distant conversations, and the drive thru which I walked through later to grab food before I slept. This day was bad and stressful at the time but as I look back it's a memory I cherish deeply. Money is great but if you don't love what you're doing or if you burn yourself out doing it then it's best to take a break. It took me a few times to learn this lesson at previous jobs where I would work lots of overtime pushing my body and mind to its limits while skipping meals, eating junk, and primarily focusing on work, ultimately ending up in the hospital. I don't necessarily think this is a bad trait when used wisely but if the body and mind are neglected too long your health is definitely affected mentally and physically. [Pixel 6 Pro] {Lightroom}
